It’s snow joke, as bad weather grounds flights

As if our airport industry did not have enough on it hands, what with Terminal 5 and baggage, this weekends snow fall has brought the typical problems faced by our country with a couple of centimeters of snow.

Gatwick, Heathrow and Bristol all had problems, with some flights being cancelled and others delayed.

I personally now think that a serious look at how our airports, roads and rail network are managed with a national plan put into effect to deal with such problems as a bit of snow, a broken down lorry or indeed the wrong type of leaves on the railway lines.

What do you all think? Could you do better? How would you fund it, how would you deploy assets and manpower.?

Come on, see this as a challenge.
